Property Log
- Price - Free
- Tool last updated by their developers - January 2024
- Read more in the Google Chrome Store
Property Log provides a very simple replacement for property bee. When you are browsing properties on Rightmove it automatically shows you the complete journey of each listing – from its initial asking price through every adjustment made along the way in the price and the data of when that happened along side an easy to see % change.
This insight is invaluable when you're trying to spot motivated sellers and below market value properties.
Imagine you're looking at a property listed at £200,000. Property Log might reveal it started at £250,000 six months ago and has seen three price reductions. This pattern could indicate a motivated seller, giving you stronger negotiating power to buy a house. The tool also tracks changes in property descriptions, helping you spot when sellers looking for a fast sale.

Property Picker
- Price - Free
- Tool last updated by their developers - November 2024
- Read more in the Google Chrome Store
Property Picker takes the guesswork out of property analysis. As you browse Rightmove and Zoopla it instantly calculates whether the investment makes sense for your specific situation.
Take a few seconds at the beginning to add your specific goals of deposit amount, mortgage interest target amount and your target salary and it will calculate which properties in the listings are affordable based on the current property listing price.
Rather than juggling spreadsheets and calculators, Property Picker shows you straight away if a property fits your investment criteria.
It does this with a very simple to use and understand traffic light system with green being affordable and red being unaffordable. You can even see an affordability rating and a potential monthly mortgage amount based on the data you add.
It is really intuitive and overlays the listings without too much interruption or data being added.
Its main use case is when you are looking at a broad price range and list of properties and you are trying to narrow in your search. It has less use when you already have a very strict budget and searching for properties in a narrow price range band.

PaTMa
- Price - Free (but you have to create an account on the PaTMa website)
- Tool last updated by their developers - October 2024
- Read more in the Google Chrome Store
PaTMa automatically calculates key metrics that matter to most buy-to-let investors. You'll see potential gross rental yield, return on investment, and even graphs with local market rental prices as a trend, all without leaving the property listing. You don’t have to jump between different websites or do complex calculations—everything you need is neatly displayed so you can compare properties, gauge rental demand, and decide if that particular property stacks up for you and your own property goals.

Property Market Intel
- Price - Free (but they have a paid version with more insights and local market comparisons)
- Tool last updated by their developers - October 2024
- Read more in the Google Chrome Store
Property Market Intel is a simple Google Chrome browser add-on that gives you a clear, easy-to-understand view of each UK property listing.
It has a very clean user experience and it stands out by offering data that most free tools don’t, like price per square foot, plus quick snapshots of price growth over the last 1, 3, and 5 years.
Everything is shown right alongside the listing, so you don’t have to go digging around for extra info on other sites and tabs.

Propbar
- Price - Free (but they have a limited amount of searches per month. They have a paid version you can upgrade to for more.)
- Tool last updated by their developers - November 2024
- Read more in the Google Chrome Store
PropBar is much more extension that the other chrome extensions, however it's free version is limited to only 5 searches a month which is quiet restricting even for beginner property investors.
The amount of property data provided though is very good with insights including everything from local crime rates to energy efficiency ratings. You can see demographics for the area, understand local planning restrictions, and compare the property to similar sales with alot of local sales comparisons.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1). What happened to property bee?
Property Bee is no longer available and it stopped as a browser extension a number of years ago. However, several new tools like Property Log, Property Picker, and PaTMa now offer similar and enhanced functionality for tracking property prices.
Q2). Which property tools work with Rightmove?
All of the property tools in this list overlay with the browser extension on to Rightmove. As this is the number one property search portal in the UK, most developers build functionality to primarily work with Rightmove. However some tools also work with Zoopla and On The Market.
Q3). Are these property tools and browser extensions free to use?
Most tools offer free versions with basic functionality. Property Log and Property Picker are completely free, while PaTMa requires a free account. PropBar offers limited free searches monthly, with a paid version for more extensive use. Property Market Intel offers both free and premium features.
Q4). Do these tools work on browers other than chrome?
Currently, these tools are primarily designed for Google Chrome. While some might work on other Chromium-based browsers like Edge, we recommend using Chrome for the best experience and full functionality. For very active property investors and buy-to-let landlords building extensive portfolios you may prefer to get property data via api's and there are a few companies that focus on this service that we also cover in our property data guide.
Q5). How accurate is the property data from these tools?
The tools source their data directly from property listings and official sources like HM Land Registry for sold house price data, OS data hub for mapping and Office of National Statistics for demographics. But we would recommend checking with the specific tool provider on their current datasets as these can change.
